Swaddlebees Snap Pocket Diaper

|
Swaddlebees pocket diapers are a two part diapering system that offers parents a leak-free, rash free and disposal free way of diapering. Made with a waterproof
polyester knit outer fabric to keep wetness inside, and a layer of buttery soft Malden Mills micro-fleece inside next to the baby’s skin to wick moisture away and
draw it into the absorbent removable insert. This is probably the trimmest fitting pocket diaper you will ever find. The crotch area has been cut narrow to reduce
unnecessary bulk between the baby’s legs, yet still leaves enough room to stuff with as much inserts as needed. The leg openings are highly adjustable to especially
accommodate both babies with slim and chubby thighs. Several snap settings allow you to adjust them for a snug and comfortable fit.

* Please do not use weight as the sole basis for choosing the diaper size for your baby. Because babies are shaped differently, a diaper may or may not fit your baby even if he/she is within the weight range of a certain size. The best way to choose your size is to go by measurements.
Inserts
Two types of inserts are recommended for Swaddlebees pocket diapers and they are sold separately. The Swaddlebees 3-layer contoured microterry inserts and the Nurtured Family Contours 4-layer microterry inserts. For the best fit with Swaddlebees pockets we do recommend using their inserts. For the best absorbency we recommend the Nurtured Family Contours.

Basic Use Instructions
Before using these diapers for the first time it is recommended that they be washed (warm or hot) and then dried in medium heat. Put one insert in diaper for normal daytime use or two inserts in the diaper for overnight use (or long naps). After changing your baby's diaper, shake off whatever stool will come off in the toilet. If it doesn't fall off then leave it. Next, shake or pull out the insert and place it and the diaper in your diaper pail.
A dry pail is recommended as it generally reduces odors.
Wash & Care Instructions
On wash day, run the dirty diapers through a cold soak or pre-wash cycle. This is intended to loosen and remove most, if not all, of the stool from the diapers. If you have already soaked your diapers in a pail, spin out any remaining water. Wash the diapers in hot water with a small amount of detergent (1/4 - 1/2 of the recommended dose). Over-dosing on detergent produces build up and is the single most common cause of most odor and leaking problems. Buildup can also cause rashes to develop on sensitive skin. Most big brand name detergents are loaded with perfumes, dyes and fillers that can buildup on the fleece as well and cause these same problems. A very effective detergent for washing fleece lined diapers like Swaddlebees is Allens Naturally and we highly recommend it. It is also recommended that no fabric softeners be used because they will coat the fleece inside of the diapers and cause leaks. Be aware that if dryer sheets are used in your dryer for other laundry, they can coat your dryer and then transfer it to the diapers.
